About Me

I'm Caz.

I have spent 20 years teaching Animal Science at College and have decided to hang up my board pen and move into teaching my passion full time.

I'm fully qualified in all animal subjects as well as being a qualified teacher and assessor. I have taught and assessed qualifications in Dog Training and Husbandry, Canine Care and Welfare, Canine First Aid and Professional Dog Walker Qualifications.

I hold qualifications with the IMDT and Canine Principles.

My biggest hobby is dog agility. I have been competing for 15 years and have taught agility for nearly as long. I travel the country in the summer attending competitions, competing my dogs at championship level.

Our Mission

Wags and Wisdom Dog Training and Walking is a comprehensive service provider offering professional dog training, dog walking, dog agility and educational programs for dog owners.

Our mission is to strengthen the bond between dogs and their humans through positive reinforcement training and the ability to understand the needs of our dogs through our own learning.

Dog Training

Puppy Classes

Puppy classes are so important to get your pup started on the right paw!

Our 6 weeks blocks cover all the basics of training, showing you how to get your puppy to focus on you, stay calm, recall, socialise correctly and complete basic behaviours such as sit and down.

£95 for 6 hour long sessions.

Adult Dog Classes

We all know that dogs need to keep learning all their lives, and need to keep stimulated to be happy and healthy.

Whether you want to follow on from puppy classes and keep learning, or whether you have a dog over 12 months that needs some basic training, our adult dog classes are for you! They cover elements such as heel, advanced recall, focus when distracted, etc.

£95 for 6 hour long sessions

One to one training

All dogs are different, and all owners have different individual struggles with their dogs. We offer tailored one to one training sessions to help with dog owners that need a little bit more support.

£40 per hour.

Workshops

Here at Wags and Wisdom, we appreciate that attending weekly classes does not suit all dog owners.

We will also be offering a range of workshops to cover specific struggles on an ad hoc basis.

Dog Walking

Not all dogs are comfortable going out in big groups.

At Wags and Wisdom, we prefer to give your dogs more personal time, offering single dog walks or dogs from the same household.

We can always bring one of our own dogs if you would prefer some safe and well managed socialisation.

Single dog - 1 hour £20

Single dog - 30 minutes £12

Agility workshops

Monthly workshops held in St Austell

Regular Ad Hoc workshops held in Lewdown.

5 in a group.

£30 for a 2 hour session

Regular beginners classes

Held outdoors in collaboration with Ocean City Agility in Plymouth.

Regular weekly hour groups for beginners.

4 in a group.

£60 for 1 hour in a 4 week block.

Dog agility is my absolute favourite thing to do.

Its great fun for both dog and handler, it encourages a really strong bond between you, its great for fitness and for mental stimulation.

What's not to love!

At Wags and Wisdom we have some excellent collaborative opportunities, working closely with other trainers.

We offer regular weekly classes with 'Ocean City Agility Club' in Plymouth, as well as regular workshops in St Austell.

We have had brilliant training sessions with Caz, she has worked with my puppies and my older dogs with toy play, recalls and agility training. Caz always uses positive training and rewards. My dogs always come away from there sessions with great success achieved.
